A vacancy has arisen at the England and Wales Cricket Board for the position of Information Management Officer. Reporting to the Ethics and Compliance Manager you will be the organisational lead for data protection and collection. You will ensure that the England and Wales Cricket Board, including the staff it employs and deploys, understand and use data collection, information management structures, systems and processes which meet business need, best practice as well as being legally compliant.

The post holder will take a specific operational lead on data protection compliance. The role is not limited to working in relation to compliance matters but on the wider agenda of robust data gathering methodology for sound business decision making. It will also include working with other departments on data collection and technology innovation which “Inspire people to choose cricket”. The post holder will be predominantly working in collaboration with other ECB departments in order to be successful in the role.

 39 County Cricket Boards are ECB’s delivery network for the non-professional game – they support approximately 5,500 cricket clubs of which approximately 3,500 have a junior section
 There are 18 First Class County Cricket Clubs that employ professional cricketers and through this provide opportunities for engaging their local community (spectators and commercial opportunities)
 There are 6 full England Cricket teams, all with their respective talent pathways

Principle Responsibilities:
• To ensure that England and Wales Cricket Board is provided with robust management information to enable sound business decisions to be made
• To project manage new data and business intelligence capture systems from inception to implementation
• To support and advise ECB staff on the compliance with relevant data protection and privacy legislation in conjunction with ECB’s legal advisers
• To raise awareness and ensure understanding of relevant legislation and operating practices
• To work closely with the relevant ECB teams and departments to ensure a co-ordinated approach to effectively collect and collate the data and business intelligence throughout the game on its participants

Nature and Scope of Role:

Role Context:

The Ethics and Compliance team works across the organisation and with external partners to support the game through ensuring a number of integrity and good governance procedures, processes and controls are in place and widely understood.

One of the roles of the Ethics and Compliance team is to fulfil the ECB’s data protection officer obligations. This includes overseeing the implementation of appropriate practices and procedures to promote sound working practice on all personal data collection and storage. Much of this information is collected to support business decisions and enable the needs of our participants and customers to be met and to attract and retain a diverse range of participants. The team develops the tactics for achieving these ends, and delivers advice and support to ECB staff. It also enforces standards and procedures where necessary, promoting a transparent and fair approach to dealing with complaints.

The role will support other ECB staff on their direct work programmes as well as supporting the ECB staff that are responsible for supporting and developing the counties.

Learning and Development Manager reporting to Deputy Director of Contact Centre

Grade E

Role Purpose: To coach/develop Customer Service Officers and Team Leaders. To maintain a comprehensive training needs analysis of staff and ensure appropriate training plans are put in place to support the business.

To develop and implement a quality monitoring regime to deliver service improvements to the customers experience including delivering a right first time service.

To develop training programme’s that support corporate induction, ongoing personal development and enable staff to deliver excellent customer service.

To co-ordinate training and development of the team in order to develop individuals’ skill while creating a balance of skills to enable the Deputy Director of Contact Centre to maximise the opportunities from Work Force Planning.

To support the Deputy Director in migrating new services into the Contact Centre and to ensure staff are multi-skilled across a number of defined services.

To undertake benchmarking exercises to assess quality, as well us prepare the Contact Centre for external accreditation and ensure these standards are maintained and reviewed on a regular basis.

Provide reports on performance and quality on a regular basis to the Deputy Director of Contact Centre.

•Develop the Quality monitoring feedback forms to ensure they capture all the relevant issues and address service delivery and service improvements including delivering a right first time query resolution.

Title Interim Planning Manager
Job Information

Interim Planning Manager required for a 6 month contract within a Local Authority Planning Department.

The Council has restructured its development services to bring together strategy for planning, housing & waste/recycling, economic development and regeneration, tourism, and development management, conservation & enforcement. These services have been brought together to form a new Growth Directorate. Future working methods will be innovative and flexible, with a strong emphasis on commissioning and external procurement, with an objective of building expertise, resilience & reputation to explore supplying services to other Councils in the near future. They are already doing this in the area of Community Infrastructure Levy, where the Council is leading the way nationally on its implementation.

The Council is seeking an interim manager to head up its Development Management function over the next 6 months.
